American Idol finalist Josh Gracin held after writing apparent suicide note

The entertainment world is still shaken to the core after the untimely passing of comedian/actor Robin Williams, who died on Monday evening of an apparent suicide. Unfortunately, it would seem as if American Idol Josh Gracin is battling issues of his own.

The singer, and former United States Marine, is currently being held at a hospital on a 5150 psych hold after writing an ominous post that very much resembled a suicide note on his Facebook page.

The news is brought to us by means of TMZ.

The post, which has since been deleted read like this.

“I’ve loved her for 17 years… I made mistakes… I admitted them, told her the truth and she turned her back on me when I needed her help the most… I love you all…” Gracin wrote. “You have given me the greatest gift. You allowed me to touch your hearts with what I loved to do the most… Please remember me as someone who gave his all in his music… Pray for my family as they carry on in this world without me. Goodbye.”

As you can imagine, a post like this caught the attention of his friends and family, who quickly contacted authorities. According to TMZ, when the authorities arrived at his Spring Hill, Tennessee home he was nowhere to be found; however, they were able to speak with his wife.

After speaking to his wife over the telephone, the singer agreed to come home. There have been no details released as to what occurred when Gracin arrived at his home; however, since then he has been admitted to the hospital under a 5150 psych hold where he is being evaluated by physicians.

Since returning to his home, it is being reported that he has been cooperative with authorities and medical professionals alike.

As you can imagine, his family requests that we kindly respect their privacy during this difficult time.

Hopefully, he can get the help that he so desperately needs in order to work through whatever problems he may be experiencing in his life. Depression is a very hard fought battle that not everyone is lucky enough to win.
