The Detroit Lions started off their 2014 preseason on the right foot by securing a win in their opener, and now they will hit the road to the O.co Coliseum on Friday night for a Week 2 meeting with the 0-1 Oakland Raiders.

Detroit is under new leadership this season, so the preseason games are as important for the Lions as anyone else in the league. While the team has talent, they have struggled to live up to the high expectations and the level of play their talent should reach.

We will have to see whether or not this can finally be that year.
