Indiana Pacers star Paul George has a rod in his leg

The Indiana Pacers are likely going to be without Paul George for the entire season this year after his ankle nearly snapped off in a Team USA scrimmage at the beginning of August.

But the recovery process is now well underway for George as he’s been relaxing in the hospital and held a press conference on Friday to give the basketball world an update on where he is at currently.
At the moment, basketball isn’t really in the forefront of George’s mind, rather the rod in his leg is a bit of a talking point among those close to him.
George isn’t giving up hope on playing this season, which is positive for Pacers fans but might not be all that realistic. The bottom line is, George has a rod in his leg, which is both going to help him heal properly but may be a major reason why he doesn’t play for the Pacers in the 2014-15 season.
