Finding the next big thing is one of the best things about sports and the NHL has a plethora of young stars to stock the league with the next wave of superstar talent.

The NHL is already stocked with proven talent with the likes of Sidney Crosby, Steven Stamkos, Jonathan Toews, Claude Giroux and Drew Doughty, among others to take the league to new heights, but the next wave of talent is waiting in the pipeline.

This generation of players may represent a renaissance for fans who were lost to the work stoppages that plagued the sport over the last two decades and seen a number of fans turn their backs on the game.

If you’re one of those fans and you’re looking to get back into the game, these 10 players are the ones to watch as they blossom into super stardom.

To be under consideration for this list of the next 10 superstars in the NHL, the player has to be under 25 years old and not won a league award, with exception of the Calder Trophy as the league’s top rookie.

This list will also involve some projection as they project to be among the best at their position by the 2016-2017 season.
