Former NFL wide receiver Terrell Owens visited Dallas Cowboys training camp on Thursday to get an up close and personal look at one of his former teams.

While in attendance at Cowboys camp, Owens was asked to share his thoughts on current Cowboys star receiver Dez Bryant and he was more than happy to oblige.

“From the standpoint of, obviously a guy that’s just very passionate about the game, a lot of what he does can be misconstrued, misinterpreted,” Owens said, according to the team’s official website. “I think his head, mentally, is in the right place.”

If there is one man who can identify with someone who is misunderstood, Owens is your guy.

From a statistical perspective, Owens is a lock to be in the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

However, with all of the drama and distractions that seemed to follow Owens off of the field, it is possible that he could be overlooked.

On the field, Bryant is as good as anyone in the league — much like Owens. Off of the field, Bryant had some trouble in his younger days and he has even been involved in some heated arguments on the team’s sideline.

Bryant is set to enter the final year of his contract in 2014, and he will be looking to ensure everyone understands and interprets what he does on the field in the proper way so that he can receive the hefty pay day that he undoubtedly deserves.
