Dallas Cowboys believe Rolando McClain can make an impact
By Josh Hill
The Dallas Cowboys went out and acquired linebacker Rolando McClain this offseason to help give them some much needed relief on defense, and that’s what owner Jerry Jones is expecting out of his new player.

The problem with McClain is that he’s retired once and nearly did it twice in the span of a week after reinstating himself, meaning that he might have motivation issues.
According to Jon Machota of the Dallas Morning News, Jerry Jones has pointed out how excited he is that the team was able to get Rolando McClain this offseason, noting that he’s talked to folks in Oakland which has only heightened his excitement for the linebacker
"“I think one of the other exciting things is McClain at linebacker,” Jones said. “I was sitting there with some of the people from Oakland. He was Oakland’s [eighth] pick in the whole draft. They were commenting on how he was moving around.”"
Jones continued to say that he believes there’s a chance that McClain rebounds in his career and helps shake things up for the Cowboys this season.
"“Of course, he’s such a force out there when he’s playing. He had some real impressive snaps against Oakland. But McClain, at this juncture, it’s not unreasonable to see him shake things up at linebacker there. That’s an exciting proposition.”"
No matter what, the Cowboys need McClain to step up, as their defense was terrible in 2013 and it’s already off to a poor start in 2014 thanks to injury and a lack of anyone outside of Dallas really caring about them.
