A college football preseason All-American team is a great way to generate debate as fans can make the case for their school’s favorite player to be recognized as one of the nation’s best. My All-American team will feature a host of memorable names who were named to some All-American teams in 2013, but there will be some up-and-coming names who project to be the best at their positions this season.

The 2014 college football season is less than two weeks away from kicking off and this season promises to be a memorable one with the first ever College Football Playoff waiting at the end of the most important regular season in sports.

As with any list there are sure to be some players you will think should be on the first team over my selections and some who simply did not make the cut, especially at key positions like quarterback and running back where a great deal of talent will be on display at those positions on Saturdays this fall.

With that said, after reading through the list, please comment in the section below with your thoughts on the teams and which picks you agreed with and those you didn’t see eye to eye with me on.

Without further ado, here is my preseason All-American first team offense, defense and special teams followed by the second teams.
