More from NBA

With George out for the season, no less the World Cup, one player who had been pegged as possibly stepping up is DeMarcus Cousins. But while Cousins wants to make Team USA’s roster, he’s been battling an injury that held him out of Saturday’s game against Brazil.

that injury looks to have cleared up though, as Cousins is expected to play on Tuesday against the Dominican Republic .

Cousins has been a player possessed in his fight Team USA roster, but the injury he suffered was a minor setback. He’ll be looking to erase that on Tuesday against the Dominican Republic, but there is still work that needs to be done before Cousins is considered a lock for the roster.
