Team USA has been under a microscope thanks to the Paul George injury earlier this month, but the team is starting to pull things together in a nice way and prepare to make a run at the World Cup later in August.
With George out for the season, no less the World Cup, one player who had been pegged as possibly stepping up is DeMarcus Cousins. But while Cousins wants to make Team USA’s roster, he’s been battling an injury that held him out of Saturday’s game against Brazil.
that injury looks to have cleared up though, as Cousins is expected to play on Tuesday against the Dominican Republic .

Cousins has been a player possessed in his fight Team USA roster, but the injury he suffered was a minor setback. He’ll be looking to erase that on Tuesday against the Dominican Republic, but there is still work that needs to be done before Cousins is considered a lock for the roster.
