The Philadelphia Eagles took a chance on quarterback Mark Sanchez this offseason and they may already be paying off from the move. While Nick Foles is the hands down starter for the team, there’s a logjam of sorts behind him when it comes to who will back up the MVP candidate in 2014.

It’s unlikely that Philly will carry three quarterbacks into the regular season if they don’t have to and right now it looks like one of their three quarterbacks is getting plenty of attention from around the league.

Mark Sanchez had an impressive game against the New England Patriots and according to CSNPhilly.com, the Eagles are already looking at possible trade scenarios to cash in on the instant and absolutely stunning success that Sanchez has had so far in camp.

"“What are you giving me? I mean, we’ll listen to anything for anybody. We’re not just going to put our head in the sand and say no. It better be a pretty good deal in terms of what it is. But that’s not in any of our thought process.”"

Philly isn’t actively shopping Sanchez and having a third quarterback on the depth chart isn’t the worst idea ever. But Matt Barkley seems to be trying to win the backup role and if the Eagles can alleviate the pressure while getting come return on Sanchez — which is an achievement in of itself — then that’s the situation that the team will likely strive for.
