Just a few years ago, center Andrew Bynum was one of the best centers in basketball and there was several that considered him the game’s elite big man offensively but he’s always had trouble with injuries. Since then Bynum was traded by the Los Angeles Lakers to the Philadelphia 76ers in the four-team Dwight Howard deal, which also involved the Orlando Magic and Denver Nuggets. He never played a game because of his knee and signed with the Cleveland Cavaliers before last season. Things went poorly and the Cavaliers dealt Bynum to the Chicago Bulls for forward Luol Deng. The Bulls waived Bynum and he was signed by the Indiana Pacers.

Now, Bynum is a free agent and is having trouble finding a home.

Chuck Myron of Hoops Rumors believes Bynum will have to take a non-guaranteed deal to get invited to training camp.

"He reportedly worked out for the Clippers recently, and while he was fairly productive when he made it onto the court last season, it ended poorly for him in both Cleveland and Indiana. If he’s humble enough to accept a non-guaranteed training camp invitation, I could see it happening. Otherwise, I think he’ll remain unsigned."

In 26 total games last season, he put up 8.7 points, 5.6 rebounds, 1.1 assists and 1.1 blocks per game while shooting 41.8% from the field and 75.5% from the free throw line. Bynum, who was selected by the Lakers with the 10th-overall pick in the first round of the 2005 NBA Draft, has put up 11.5 points, 7.7 rebounds, 1.6 blocks and 1.2 assists per game while shooting 55.6% from the field and 69.0% from the charity stripe in his career.
