The Cleveland Cavaliers brought back LeBron James this summer and that set off a chain reaction of signings which saw the likes of James Jones, Mike Miller, Kevin Love and Shawn Marion acquired in various ways.

But while the Cavs have been compiling big name players, the question is arising as to whether they’re actually adding the right names and positions to the roster.

According to Adi Joseph of USA Today Sports, the Cavaliers shouldn’t be focusing on bringing in Ray Allen, rather they should be looking at two glaring needs that remain on their roster — backup point guard and center.

"The backups at these positions? The Cavs may end up relying on 34-year-old journeyman Brendan Haywood (himself an injury risk) behind Varejao, while also asking Love or Tristan Thompson to play out of position. But that makes them susceptible inside the same way the Heat were."

Joseph continues to point out that the Eastern Conference is loaded with talent in positions that the Cavaliers don’t really have fortified as the Chicago Bulls have bigs to spare and guards  are prevalent across the conference.

It’s something that isn’t really getting focused on as much as it should be, as the Cavaliers are just being gredy at this point in who they add but it’s possible that all along while they’ve been adding big name talent, they’ve been ignoring adding the right talent to supplement it all.
