Some veteran players still out on the market aren’t really all that old, and Jordan Crawford is an example of that. He’s a talented player with years of experience under his belt already at just the age of 25, but he’s not a reliable player and that’s something that is scaring teams away from him.

More from Golden State Warriors

There was talk of a sign-and-trade by the Golden State Warriors to rid themselves of the guard but no such deal was made an no other deals to get Crawford to a new team have been made either.

According to Sports Illustrated’s Rod Mahoney, Jordan Crawford will eventually be signed but patience in him is running thinner with each stop he makes in his career.

"NBA teams’ patience with Crawford runs thinner with every stop. His skills are evident, most often demonstrated in the conversion of difficult shots against pressure from defenders, or the clock. That Crawford often finds himself in those situations, however, is usually his own doing. Some team will likely take a chance with Crawford based on their need for occasional shot creation, though with valued skills like those comes the pains of operating through a tunnel-visioned ball handler."

A contending team may take a chance on Crawford as when he’s playing well and reliably, he’s one of the best veterans bench players in the league. But that never happens too often and that’s the problem as teams want to sign one Crawford without getting the other version of him.
