Montee Ball hopes to be cleared soon for Denver Broncos
By Cory Buck
Montee Ball will be further evaluated on Monday after undergoing an appendectomy in early August, per the Denver Post. If he clears that assessment, Ball could get the green light to practice before the third preseason game for the Denver Broncos.

While Ball may not necessary play in that game either way, it’s a good sign for those worried about the Broncos running game.
Of course, those worries appear unfounded for the time being. Ball’s backups, Ronnie Hillman and CJ Anderson, torched the San Francisco 49ers in Levi Stadium in the team’s second preseason game. The Broncos finished the game with a 34-0 win, as Anderson scored a touchdown and the two backs combined for nearly 50 yards in less than a half of work.
"“They’re running hard. Something you can’t teach, running hard,” Ball said. “I’m excited to come back and get back to it. It’s all about lathering up. You need to get that lather, man. That’s important. Get back used to getting tackled, getting hit.”"
Consider Ball unlikely to play in the team’s third preseason game against the Houston Texans. If he is cleared by doctors though, he could see some action in the final exhibition against the Dallas Cowboys, or at the very least, he’ll be ready for Week 1 of the regular season. The Denver Broncos will surely be waiting for him with open arms whenever he’s ready to return.
