Barcelona star Neymar has been recovering from a fractured vertebrae that he suffered during the 2014 FIFA World Cup while representing his home country of Brazil, and he has received some great news on the medical front.
The La Liga giant announced the news on Monday morning.
Neymar was injured after taking a knee to the back from Colombia defender Juan Camillo Zuniga.
It was an injury that ended his World Cup early and ultimately sent Brazil into a downward spiral that resulted in a disappointing and embarrassing exit from the tournament.
Now that he is healthy, Neymar can turn his attention to helping Barcelona on the pitch as they begin their La Liga campaign.
Barcelona takes on Liga MX side Club Leon in a friendly on Monday, and Neymar will be available to play at Camp Nou, along with Xavi. There are also reports that Uruguayan striker Luis Suarez will “play some minutes.”
