By Jack Crosby
The Ohio State Buckeyes football program received a huge blow on Tuesday with the news that senior starting quarterback Braxton Miller will miss the entire 2014 season after injuring his shoulder in practice on Monday. However, we have no seen the last of Miller is a Buckeyes uniform.

In speaking about his injury on Tuesday, Miller specifically noted his academic timeline and what he plans to do, and part of that plan is coming back for a final season in 2015 to try and lead the Buckeyes to a national championship.
“I love Ohio State and Buckeye nation, and my goal is to come back from this injury stronger and better than ever,” Miller said in the release. “I am on course to graduate in December and I want to attend graduate school, and then return to lead the Buckeyes next season. In the meantime, I want to give all the support I can to my coaches and teammates as they chase a championship this season.”
As of right now, the plan is for redshirt freshman T.J. Barrett to take the reins of the offense, as he was named the backup just this past weekend by head coach Urban Meyer.
Still, losing a Heisman hopeful like Miller is a huge blow to this team, a team that was expected by many to make a solid run at the College Football Playoff, and possibly a national championship.
But, it’s nice to know that we have not seen the last of Miller on a college football field.
