Under Armour revealed their new football uniforms for the Notre Dame Fighting Irish on Tuesday morning.  The budding apparel giant signed the contract with the Irish back in late January.

The uniforms made their debut on Under Armour’s Instagram page.

Notre Dame will wear these navy blue uniforms at home:

And these pearly whites on the road:

Under Armour seems to keep with the tradition of Notre Dame football uniforms while adding a slightly modern feel to them.

With Notre Dame jumping on board with Under Armour, you could see a whole flock of college teams heading that way once their current apparel contracts expire.

Notre Dame flipped to Under Armour as of July 1st when their contract with Adidas expired.  The deal is for ten years, and is rumored to be in the area of $90 million, which is the most lucrative uniform deal in history.

Hey, I’m all for the universities not passing every cost onto the fan base!

The deal could be worth even more, since the university is allowed to take some of the $90 million in company stock.  What percentage of that allowed was also not disclosed.

If Under Armour is willing to offer all of these perks, this is just the beginning of the schools they can land uniform deals for.  The question is: will it improve performance on the field?
