Von Miller hopes to play next Denver Broncos preseason game
By Cory Buck
Von Miller has been waiting a while to strap on the pads and play some football. While he wouldn’t be playing a full game if he stepped on the field for the Denver Broncos’ third preseason game on Saturday, just getting any reps after returning from a torn ACL suffered in Week 16 of the 2013 season would be a huge boon to the team’s resident sack master.

“I just feel great,” Miller said per ESPN. “I’ve been coming in every day, doing what they want me to do, everything I need to do to get back on the field. That’s where I’m at. I’m in a good place.”
The Broncos will need Miller to remain in said good place for a while as he’ll line up across fellow Pro Bowler DeMarcus Ware to start the season. Miller totaled 30 sacks in the two seasons before 2013, when he was limited to five sacks in nine games played. With Ware and fellow newcomer T.J. Ward in the secondary, it stands to reason that Miller’s recovery year could be a career year as the Broncos enter the 2014 season as heavy favorites to repeat atop the AFC.
The Denver Broncos will host the Houston Texans on Saturday in the third preseason game for each team. While the starters will likely get big minutes in the exhibition, expect Miller’s snap count to be limited as the team hopes to slowly ease him back into game speed action.
