Chicago Bulls star Derrick Rose sat out of Wednesday night’s game for Team USA against the Dominican Republic. It was reporetdly just for extra rest and routine soreness and no cause for concern.
It won’t keep Rose from playing in Friday’s game against Puerto Rico though, with both Team USA head coach Mike Krzyzewski and Tom Thibodeau confirming the report. Good news for the United States, but concerning for when the World Cup actually starts and the games come just days apart.
Thibodeau says he expects Rose to practice tomorrow and play Friday. Said staff expected him to have ‘soreness’ after last Saturday.
