If your name is John Wall, and you have a tattoo on your back that says “Great Wall,” and you happen to be in China…then you pretty much have no choice. You have to show off your “Great Wall” tattoo while sitting on the Great Wall of China.

John Wall comes back from China without taking this picture, people ask him why he bothered going to China in the first place.

Not that there aren’t other good reasons to go to China. Thousands of years of culture to learn about. Majestic natural wonders to experience. Stephon Marbury.

But it’s different if you’re John Wall and you have the Great Wall tattoo. You can do all that other stuff but if you don’t get the picture on the Great Wall with your shirt off so we can see your Great Wall tattoo, then you have failed in some fundamental way.

BTW, is it okay to walk around in China with no shirt showing off your tats? It’s a different culture over there. It’s not Washington DC. I guess if they don’t throw you in jail, it’s cool.
