It looks like Cleveland Browns quarterback Johnny Manziel, a 2014 first-round draft pick, won’t be getting the nod to start at the end of the season. He still has to support of one veteran, receiver Nate Burleson.

#Browns Burleson likes Hoyer's leadership, hold on playbook. Called Manziel "arguably best #2 QB in NFL. I'm a Johnny Football fan."

Manziel probably needs that support as his confidence could be shaken having struggled in the preseason and losing the job to Brian Hoyer. He also might be feeling the full weight of the NFL spotlight lately after being caught on camera flipping the bird to the Washington Redskins’ bench.
Burleson has been throwing his support behind Manziel for a while.
#Browns WR Nate Burleson: "I like (Brian Hoyer) a lot. He has a lot of good qualities. I love Johnny Manziel. Johnny's for real.''

Burleson at one point even compared him to his quarterback with his former team, Detroit Lions’ Matthew Stafford.
