LeGarrette Blount, Le’Veon Bell unlikely to be suspended
By Josh Hill
The Kansas City Chiefs will be playing without Dwayne Bowe in Week 1 thanks to a suspension he was handed this summer stemming from an arrest from last year. The Pittsburgh Steelers will be playing Week 1 with both LeGarrette Blount and Le’Veon Bell despite both being busted for marijuana possession last night.

The Bowe, Blount and Bell connection is hard to miss but it’s looking like the two situations will have very different outcomes when all is said and done. Nothing official has come down from the league about Blount or Bell, but punishment might not be as severe as we think.
As pointed out but AFC North blogger Andrea Hangst, the NFL is unlikely to suspend LeGarrette Blount since he wasn’t charged with anything and her prediction is that Bell gets off without a suspension as well.
It’s hard to say what the NFL will do, but Blount not being charged with anything really helps his chances of avoiding a suspension. But the NFL likes to throw its weight around and suspend players to send messages, and that might mean punishment of some kind for Blount and Bell but a fine is much more likely than a suspension.
