The Minnesota Twins may be languishing at the bottom of the AL Central right now, but don’t look for the team to seek a reversal in their fortunes by making a change at manager.

More from Minnesota Twins

Ron Gardenhire will be back as Twins skipper in 2015, or at least that is the strong indication being given by general manager Terry Ryan.

From the Minneapolis Star-Tribune:

"Ryan was asked if he wants to come back next season.“Let me get through the year,” he said. “Like everything around this organization, we usually wait until the end of the year before we make any decisions.”What about Gardenhire?“Same stuff. He is signed for next year, so you don’t have to worry about him.”He’ll be back?“Yeah, yeah, I would say he’ll be back,” Ryan said."

Ryan admits that the Twins aren’t where they would like to be right now, but says everyone in the organization needs to get better, including him (presumably).

So, don’t look for Ryan and the front office to scapegoat Ron Gardenhire. The Twins’ struggles aren’t all on Gardy. There’s plenty of blame to spread around in the Land of 10,000 Lakes.

Should we start with their supposed superstar Joe Mauer, who has done nothing this year despite eating up a huge percentage of the team’s relatively meager payroll?

Ryan pinpoints lack of clutch hitting and rotation depth as two of the team’s biggest problems. So, all they need is pitchers and hitters and the Twins will be ready to contend.

Good breakdown, Mr. Ryan.
