Tom Brady isn’t even trying to hide the Patriots’ game plan, that’s how confident he is in their ability to execute. According to the former MVP quarterback, it’s going to be all about Shane Vereen.

More from New England Patriots

So go ahead NFL, just try and stop Vereen.

Brady talked about Vereen’s contribution after Friday’s preseason stomping of the Panthers, in which Vereen scored a pair of touchdowns (via csnne.com):

"“Yeah, he made some great plays tonight,” Brady said. “He’s been that way — he’s really had such a dependable role for us for the last few years and just done a great job. When the ball is in his hands, good things are happening for our team. We’re going to try to just keep getting him the ball.”"

Vereen is trying to bounce back from a wrist injury in 2013, and so far things look pretty good for the 5-10 running back. Vereen just hopes that his success will carry over into the regular season:

"“It’s good,” Vereen said of getting extended reps in New England’s third preseason game. “It’s something that a lot of us needed and you want to feel like you can get into a rhythm and have a good experience in the game prior to the live bullets that will be here in a couple weeks. So it was a good feeling.”"

Thanks to Tom Brady, there’s no secret about how the Patriots plan to attack defenses this year. Get ready for a heavy dose of Shane Vereen, NFL.
