Once the Miami Dolphins drafted Ryan Tannehill, Matt Moore’s days as a starting quarterback came to an end.
That’s why Moore is one player who likely looks forward to each and every preseason games – it might the only four games he sees action in all season.
Moore entered the Dolphins’ game against the Dallas Cowboys after Tannehill exited the game and led the Dolphins on a five-play, 89-yard drive capped by a 27-yard touchdown pass from Moore to Harold “Gator” Hoskins to cut the Cowboys’ lead to 20-19. However, prior to that, Moore through one of the worst passes you will ever see. It was intercepted by undrafted rookie cornerback Tyler Patmon, who returned it nine yards for a touchdown.
