Former WWE superstar CM Punk is a big fan of mixed martial arts, so he was just as excited as anyone when welterweight Ben Saunders was able to pull off the first omaplata finish in UFC history Saturday night at the BOK Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma on the UFC Fight Night 49 preliminary card.
CM Punk took to social media to congratulate Saunders.

Saunders responded to CM Punk by saying that he will attempt Punk’s signature move next time he is in the cage, which is called the “anaconda vise.”
The move is an arm-trap triangle choke.

Saunders later told MMAjunkie.com how cool he thought it was to get a shout out from CM Punk.
“That was one of the coolest things in the world – him hitting me up for that,” Saunders said. “I’m a big fan of his, and it was an absolute honor to get attention from him.”
If Saunders is able to pull off the “anaconda vise” inside of the Octagon, we may see the internet shut down.
