The Michigan State Spartans won the Big Ten last year after a great Big Ten Championship Game between them and the Ohio State Buckeyes, but a rematch won’t happen this year after divisional realignment.
The Big Ten welcomed the Rutgers Scarlet Knights from the American Athletic Conference and Maryland Terrapins from the ACC which put the Spartans and Buckeyes in the same division and unable to meet in the title game.
The east looks like the superior division with the Michigan Wolverines and Penn State Nittany Lions also in that division, but the west could have the most drama with not much separating the top three teams on that side of the league.
Without further ado, here is the preseason Big Ten power rankings for the 2014 college football season.
