DeAngelo Hall is coming to his teammates defense after the NFL announced a two-game suspension was being handed down to Washington Redskins safety Brandon Meriweather for a sixth violation of the league’s player safety rules.

Meriweather hit Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Torrey Smith in their preseason match up, and the league deemed the hit illegal.

However, as far as DeAngelo Hall is concerned, the hit was perfectly legal and he is frustrated with the NFL for suspending players when they are trying to follow the confusing rules on what is and what isn’t a legal hit.
