Emmy Awards Results: Benedict Cumberbatch wins Best Actor for Sherlock

The Emmy Awards are tonight, which means that the best of the best in the world of television from this past year will be honored. It’s a mixed bag of drama comedy and reality but the Emmys are what shows strive for and there are some huge names and shows up for awards tonight.

While both TV movies and miniseries are honored as a whole separately, the actors who help make the projects as special as they were are lumped together and forced to fight it out in the same category. That just means that the truly best actor comes away with the win, and there are a slew of hot names from fantastic projects that were up for the Emmy this year.

But there could only be one winner and the Lead Actor in a Miniseries or Movie ended up going to Benedict Cumberbatch for Sherlock.
