Emmy Awards Results: Fargo wins Best Miniseries

The Emmy Awards are tonight, which means that the best of the best in the world of television from this past year will be honored. It’s a mixed bag of drama comedy and reality but the Emmys are what shows strive for and there are some huge names and shows up for awards tonight.

When it came down to Best Miniseries, many were hoping that we’d have a competitive field with True Detective leading the way, but as soon as HBO entered the series as a Best Drama series, things looked to lighten up. Then Fargo premiered and the game was changed, as the hit FX series blew critics away and grabbed a slew of nominations this year. It wasn’t the only show to be a hit miniseries, but it was clearly the favorite coming into the night.

But there could only be one winner and the Best Miniseries Emmy ended up going to Fargo.

Here’s a look at who else was nominated for Outstanding Miniseries:

Outstanding Miniseries
American Horror Story: Coven
Bonnie & Clyde
Fargo
Luther
Treme
The White Queen
