Emmy Awards Results: Jessica Lange wins Best Actress for American Horror Story

The Emmy Awards are tonight, which means that the best of the best in the world of television from this past year will be honored. It’s a mixed bag of drama comedy and reality but the Emmys are what shows strive for and there are some huge names and shows up for awards tonight.

Just like the male side of things, the women of this year’s best television movies and miniseries were forced to fight it out in the same category and there were a few great names to consider for the award. Jessica Lange is no stranger to the Emmys, especially after her role on American Horror Story, but she had stiff competition. Kristen Wiig was a surprise nomination for her comedy role on The Spoils of Babylon but she was outstanding nonetheless in the role.

But there could only be one winner and the Lead Actress in a Miniseries or Movie ended up going to Jessica Lange for American Horror Story: Coven.
