As MLB heads into the last month of the regular season, tensions rise as teams make their push to get into the playoffs. Some teams get injured players back to help them, while others scour the waiver wire to see if they can find a last-minute trade to get them over the top.
Through the dog days of August, we have seen some turnarounds. Some teams have gotten hot and separated themselves in a close race. Other teams have come from being left for dead to being leaders.
On the flipside, we have seen teams choking their way out of playoff contention. They cannot seem to get the hits in key situations, or have the pitchers get key outs. Also, some managers are feeling the noose tighten around their necks.
We will take a look at what is going around the league. We will predict who will get the job done in September and play at the biggest stage in October.
