Last year Keenan Allen surprised everyone with his production? Who will do that in 2014?

Every year sees another rookie burst onto the NFL scene, creating havoc with fantasy football rankings and surprising most fans and analysts with his ability.

We’re not talking about the first rounders either—those are guys we expect something from.

No, this is about the guys who were drafted later—guys like San Diego Chargers receiver Keenan Allen, drafted in the third round of the 2013 NFL draft. Allen dropped because of a PCL sprain, but ended up leading all rookies with 71 catches and broke the Chargers rookie receiving record of 1,001 yards. Only five other rookies ever had more catches—Anquan Boldin, Randy Moss, Michael Clayton, Terry Glenn and A.J. Green.

Not bad for the No. 76 overall pick.

Which NFL rookies could surprise us this year? Let’s take a look at a few candidates.
