Ryan Mallett’s time with the New England Patriots seems more and more like it is coming to an end.

More from New England Patriots

Mallett has consistently been mentioned when there are quarterback trade talks, but it appears that he could be on his way out even if no trade comes to fruition.

During an appearance on  PFT Live Monday, Tom Curran of CSNNE.com shared his belief that the New England Patriots will be out whether it be by a trade or being released.

There is no denying Mallett has potential, so it will be interesting to see if the Patriots can find a trade partner before they are faced with the decision of whether or not to cut him loose.

For a team that could benefit from boosting the talent at back up quarterback, a conditional late-pick could be worth a go — especially for the teams that would have to wait and see if the team’s ahead of them on the waiver wire would make a claim on Mallett were he to be released.
