The Cleveland Cavaliers introduced Kevin Love to a national audience today though it was a comment from the owner of Kevin Love’s former team which caught headlines.

More from Cleveland Cavaliers

Speaking to local media, Minnesota Timberwolves owner Glen Taylor suggested that he previously had health concerns about Love and continues to have them, even though the All-Star is no longer on his roster. To make the situation even more odd, Taylor suggested that the Cleveland Cavaliers have them as well.

Is it a case of sour grapes? Or does Glen Taylor know something that nobody else does?

While Kevin Love played in 77 games last season, it was the first time the power forward had eclipsed such a total in three years. In fact, out of a possible 492 regular season games, Love has played in just 364 of them. Given that, the Timberwolves owner expressed his concern for the Cleveland Cavaliers newest player.

For what it’s worth, Taylor did suggest that he wishes he had signed Kevin Love to a five-year contract extension instead of the four-year deal they had agreed on previously, which seems to counteract his point.
