By Phil Watson
With another kicker hurt, the Miami Dolphins made a move on Monday to sign kicker Jake Rogers.
According to FOXSports.com, the Dolphins are ready to sign Rogers to replace John Potter, who was waived/injured after hurting his hip in Saturday night’s preseason win over the Dallas Cowboys.
Rogers was cut by the Cleveland Browns earlier this preseason and has also spent time with the New Orleans Saints, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Cowboys, New York Giants and Washington Redskins, but he has never played in a regular-season game.

Caleb Sturgis, who handled the kicking duties for Miami last season, is still out with a groin injury.
According to Pro Football Talk, Miami is also adding defensive tackle Cory Grissom, who was cut by the Kansas City Chiefs in May.
Grissom was an undrafted free agent out of South Florida in 2013 who signed with the New England Patriots. He spent all of last year on injured reserve.
In addition to Potter, the Dolphins announced Monday they waived tackle Steven Baker and safety Demetrius Wright.
Baker was an undrafted free agent out of East Carolina who signed with the Indianapolis Colts in 2012 and spent that season on the practice squad of the Arizona Cardinals. After making a brief appearance in training camp for the Chiefs in 2013, Baker was with the Giants last year. He didn’t appear in any regular-season games, but bounced back and forth between the practice squad and active roster.
Wright signed in May as an undrafted free agent out of USC.
