USC Trojans fans are not going to be happy with the folks in Bristol, Connecticut, after John Anderson called the university a “clown college” on Wednesday night’s edition of ESPN SportsCenter.

Yes, that really happened.

If you don’t believe it, just check out the video below of USC being called a clown college, bro.

The comment comes on the heels of starting cornerback Josh Shaw admitting that he lied about how he injured his ankles.

More from College Football

Shaw had told USC officials that he suffered the injury after jumping off of a balcony and saving his drowning nephew. USC ran with the story and now they have egg on their face, because Shaw told a bold-faced lie and has now not only brought embarrassment to himself, but also the university.

As you would expect, the Trojans’ football coach wasn’t very happy.

“We are extremely disappointed in Josh,” said USC head football coach Steve Sarkisian in a statement. “He let us all down. As I have said, nothing in his background led us to doubt him when he told us of his injuries, nor did anything after our initial vetting of his story.

“I appreciate that Josh has now admitted that he lied and has apologized. Although this type of behavior is out of character for Josh, it is unacceptable. Honesty and integrity must be at the center of our program. I believe Josh will learn from this. I hope that he will not be defined by this incident, and that the Trojan Family will accept his apology and support him.”

Shaw has been suspended indefinitely for lying about the heroic tale.

Meanwhile, USC has another PR nightmare to deal with.
