Pandora Radio heads to Google Glass
Google Glass has gone through quite the myriad of changes over the recent year. Instead of being invite only, the Explorer program for Google Glass has since been opened up to anyone willing to fork over the $1,500. Now, those with Google Glass will now be receiving a new way to listen to music.
Pandora Radio rolled out its first Google Glass app today. The app will allow Glass users to control their music selections through voice commands.
Although Pandora intended the app as a simple internal test, the popularity backing its usage on Google Glass drove it to production.

Google Glass provides multiple different ways to listen to Pandora Radio. The device itself includes a stereo earbud accessory, as well as the single earbud included with the device, or the Google Glass built-in bone conduction speaker.

Pandora said, “Our Glassware allows you to access your personalized radio stations from wherever you are, interacting with the service through voice command or by using the touchpad,” on their blog.
Voice commands may seem somewhat interesting for a music app, but in practice it would seem to work rather well. In choosing radio stations and cycling through tracks, the functionality of Google Glass would seem to lend itself well.
Pandora now has two applications for wearables, with Pebble making its debut earlier this year. As the company looks to expand further into the wearable category, it will likely hinge on the success of the current offerings.
