Survivor: San Juan del Sur — Blood vs. Water cast announced

CBS’s long running reality series “Survivor” is set to kickoff their next season, the 29th season of the show. Today CBS announced the upcoming cast that will return to a previous seasons style. Blood vs. Water.

The series will once again feature related contestants and will likely divide the couples into two different tribes as they did the last time. Survivor: San Juan del Sur will feature nine couples for 18 total contestants in a battle to “outwit, outlast, and outplay” the rest of the contestants and each other. Only one person will win survivor and not one couple.
The cast will be comprised of at least one former sports player, former Major League Baseball pitcher John Rocker. The now 39 year old will compete with his girlfriend, 34 year old Julie McGee. Rocker was a hard-throwing pitcher for the Atlanta Braves before racial comments and gay slurs inevitably chased him out of baseball. It’s likely that his loud mouth style will once again rear it’s head and it’s even more likely that Survivor producers are hoping that it will.
In addition to Rocker and McGee the show will feature two sets of siblings, three parents and child, one married couple and two additional “dating couples”. Two of the cast members, 28-year-old twins Natalie and Nadiya Anderson,were recent contestants on The Amazing Race All-Stars. The complete list of contestants is below.
