Rockstar calls out Lindsay Lohan

Lindsay Lohan is in the news yet again, unfortunately for her, the Parent Trap was likely the last time she experienced some credibility of her own.  Rockstar, the company behind the giant Grand Theft Auto franchise, is claiming that a lawsuit filed by Lohan is nothing more than a cheap ploy at a publicity stunt for the once heralded actress.

Lohan has named both Take-Two Games and Rockstar in her lawsuit saying that the Grand Theft Auto V had a character based off of her.

Lacey Jonas, the character pictured in the image above, is the person in question when it comes to Lohan.  The actress believes that Rockstar used her as the basis for creating Jonas and did so without her permission.  In the game, Lacey Jonas is a star actress that is besieged by the press.  Unfortunately for Lohan, her claim would seem to be more credible if Jonas had more visits to rehab and a less high-profile career.

Lindsay Lohan is of the belief that basing Lacey Jonas off of her, allowed Take-Two and Rockstar the ability to boost sales for Grand Theft Auto V.  Remember, the game in question is one that was anticipated by gamers for years prior to release, like a period of time many ceased to know Lohan still existed.

Rockstar and Take-Two released an official court document today saying the lawsuit was,“filed for publicity purposes” and term it “frivolous.”  Rockstar and Take-Two are now asking Lohan to pay their legal fees.

Although Lohan definitely has a very self-centered viewpoint as backed by her many less than newsworthy exploits, there is next to no way Lohan would be able to prove Jonas was any more her than any other blonde haired troubled actress.

Grand Theft Auto V will continue to move on, Rockstar and Take-Two will continue to move on, and Lindsay Lohan really should too.
