Dallas Cowboys Rumors: Jerry Jones doesn’t want to extend Jason Garrett in 2014
By Josh Hill
The Dallas Cowboys have not had a good run these past few years and a lot of people are blaming head coach Jason Garrett for those issues.

Garrett’s future is uncertain to say the least, as he’s the most likely head coach according to Vegas odds to be fired this season. The fact that Jerry Jones won’t commit to him long term is also something that seems to be pointing to an exit for Garrett after the 2014 season but nothing is certain one way or the other yet.
According to Rainer Sabin of the Dallas Morning News, Jerry Jones isn’t saying he won’t bring back Jason Garrett after this season but he’s not going to marry himself to the idea of doing so before he sees something that would make him want to move on.
"“Well if I said that, I’d be giving him a contract, and that’s not how we’re operating here,” Jones said late Thursday.“I, in no way, have shut that door. But I have already decided that we were going to operate this year with his contract status the way that it is.”"
The Cowboys haven’t been able to make much of anything under the leadership of Garrett and that has caused more than a considerable amount of frustration for the front office and the fans in Dallas. There is hope for the future though, but so far this season has gotten off to a terrible start with injuries and a lack of direction — and the regular season hasn’t even started yet.
