The 2014-2015 NHL regular season is right around the corner and that means it is time to make predictions for what is in store this year.

It is no fun to make predictions like the Kings will repeat at Stanley Cup champions or Sidney Crosby will win the Hart Trophy again. Those are the chalk picks, like picking all four No. 1 seeds to make it to the Final Four when you’re filling out your NCAA Basketball bracket in March.

If you’re going to make predictions for the season, you may as well go out on a limb and take a stand, right?

Right.

Here are 10 bold predictions for this coming NHL season that promises to be as riveting as last year’s if even half of these predictions come to fruition.
