Queens Park Rangers have gotten off to a rough start in the Premier League. Not only have QPR lost their first two games, they have the worst goal differential int he league so far.
They’ll try to turn that around against Sunderland, who have gone unbeaten with two draws in their first two games.
“I am still very confident,” QPR boss Harry Redknapp said, via the club’s website. “I knew it was going to be a difficult start for us because at the beginning of pre-season we only had 13 players, because of the lads returning after their loans with us last year.
“We’ve brought good players in, but we haven’t had a chance to knit the team together yet, and that takes time. You don’t suddenly bring in five or six players, throw them in and it’s as simple as that. If it was as easy as that, you wouldn’t bother having a pre-season! So that’s been a problem for us, but I am very confident that after the international break you will see a different QPR team. We want to get a result tomorrow, and then I feel the rest of the season is going to be good.”
