Last season, the Tigers enjoyed one of the most successful turnarounds in college football history. After going 3-9 in 2012, Auburn bought right into the system of new head coach Gus Malzahn, and they tore through the SEC on their way to an 11-1 regular season record. They earned a berth in the SEC Championship Game, where they defeated the Missouri Tigers to get themselves to the national championship game, where they would lose a heartbreaker to the Florida State Seminoles.
Arkansas was also under the direction of a first year head coach last season in Bret Bielema, although they did not have nearly as successful of a season as the Tigers did. But there are still a lot of people that believe Bielema can turn it all around and get this program back on the track to the top of the SEC.
