On Saturday, the 2014 FIBA World Cup kicks off with 12 games on the schedule in the Group Stage of the tournament. One of the Day 1 match ups pits Greece against Senegal at Palacio Municipal De Deportes San Pablo.

On paper, Greece has the better squad with a trio of NBA players — Nick Calathes (Memphis Grizzlies), Kostas Papanikolaou (Houston Rockets) and Giannas Antetokounmpo (Milwaukee Bucks) Greece should be favored to advance out of their group.

For Senegal, the lone NBA player is Gorgui Deng of the Minnesota Timberwolves. However, Senegal does have two other players who are currently playing in the United States at the collegiate level — Maurice Ndour (Ohio University) and  Thierno Niang (University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee).
