The opening weekend of the 2014 college football season rolls along on Saturday, and one of the match ups that we will be treated to is between the UCLA Bruins and the Virginia Cavaliers.
Coming into this season, there are a lot of eyes on the UCLA program. With Brett Hundley returning at quarterback, he has some serious Heisman hype coming in, which translates into a lot of hope that this Bruins program can take the next step and become a legitimate national title contender.
Also, there is that sophomore linebacker, Myles Jack. You know, the one that took the world by storm last season as a freshman when he not only excelled as a linebacker, but a running back as well. Although, don’t expect to see much of him in the backfield this season.
As for Virginia, after another disappointing year last season, head coach Mike London could be considered on the hot seat. But a huge upset win over UCLA would go a long way in calming those talks down.
