In Madden 15, you have your typical play now, franchise, and online head to head game modes, but there is one other that EA Sports has made the focal point of their experience in recent years. Ultimate Team. Whether it is Madden, FIFA, NBA, or NHL EA Sports titles that you get into, Ultimate Team is at the forefront of the experience.
For this Madden Ultimate Team fan however, things aren’t so great right now.
While some players are completely against paying for upgrades or cards in Ultimate Team modes, others use it as a way to progress deeper into their teams. Unfortunately for YouTube user iMAV3RIQ, a livestream of his Madden 15 Ultimate team experience was a little embarrassing.
During a video livestream walking his viewers through some Madden Ultimate Team pack openings, his wife asks him what a $95 charge from Microsoft is doing on their statement. At about the 4:50 mark in the video, things get comical. Sometimes things are just too addicting to quit.
Despite whether or not you feel like paying for card packs in the Ultimate Team mode is silly or not, the fact of the matter is that there are many gamers who do so. Considering the success and focus on the mode by EA Sports, it stands to reason that the strategy is just one worth embracing, whether agreed upon or not.
At any rate, you have to feel for this guy. Not because he was getting called out by his wife for spending money she didn’t know about, but for the fact it was in front of a handful of complete strangers.
