The St. Louis Rams decided that Michael Sam wasn’t the football player they needed for their roster and cut him loose this weekend.

But while Sam won’t be making the Rams roster this year, there was hope that he’d make the team’s practice squad. That too won’t be happening as Sam has been released and forgotten about by the Rams.

According to Albert Breer from NFL Network, the Rams will not be adding Sam to their practice squad this season.

Sam may find a spot somewhere in the NFL but he’ll have to earn his way to a roster spot on an NFL team. It’s going to be the practice squad route for Sam but that won’t be a chance he gets with the Rams.
