The Miami Dolphins revamped their entire offensive scheme this offseason after cutting ties with former offensive coordinator Mike Sherman, and replacing him with former Philadelphia Eagles quarterbacks coach Bill Lazor.

More from Miami Dolphins

The switch will bring in a brand new offense for Dolphins quarterback Ryan Tannehill, who worked with Sherman in college at Texas A&M before reuniting with him on the Dolphins for the last two seasons.

Tannehill has looked very solid thus far in limited preseason action, but his practices have shown some bumps and bruises along the ride with the new uptempo offense. Regardless of some errant throws, Tannehill is ready to start off the season on the right note, and help the Dolphins make the postseason for the first time since 2008.

Bill Lazor has had only good things to say about Tannehill thus far, and talking to the media today was no different:

Lazor hopes he can help Tannehill achieve greatness, but at the end of the day, Tannehill needs to make the plays and win the Dolphins games this season.

Head coach Joe Philbin also spoke with the media today, and noted how important confidence is for the team as a whole.

A lot of questions will be answered about the revamped Dolphins team when they take on the New England Patriots this Sunday at home.
