Indiana Pacers sign Chris Singleton

The Indiana Pacers have been for anyone to help them fill the void left by the injury to star forward Paul George. The Pacers have about $2 million of the Disabled Players’ Exception to use to help find a replacement and on Monday, they spent some of that money.

According to David Pick of Euro Basket, ONE.co.il and Sportando, the Pacers have agreed to a deal with former Washington Wizards’ forward Chris Singleton.

Singleton put up 3.0 points and 2.2 rebounds in 10.0 minutes per game while appearing in just 25 games last season. He shot 37.3% from the field,  36.8% from beyond the arc and 72.0% from the free throw line. Singleton, a former Florida State Seminole, was selected by the Wizards with the 18th-overall pick in the first round of the 2011 NBA Draft. In his three-year career, he’s put up 4.1 points and 3.2 rebounds in 17.6 minutes per game while shooting 37.6% from the floor, 31.9% from three and 63.3% from the charity stripe.

George averaged 21.7 points, 6.8 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 1.9 steals per while shooting 42.4% from the field, 36.4% from beyond the arc and 86.4% from the charity stripe. In the postseason, he put up 22.6 points, 7.6 rebounds, 3.8 assists and 2.2 steals per game while shooting 43.8% from the field, 40.3% from three and 78.9% from the free throw line. In his four-year NBA career, he’s put up 15.3 points, 6.1 rebounds, 2.9 assists and 1.6 steals per game while shooting 42.8% from the floor, 36.0% from beyond the arc and 82.8% from the free throw line.
