Specialists

Stephen Gostkowski, K, New England Patriots

Gostkowski tied Justin Tucker, last year’s kicker on the All-Pro team, with 38 made field goals on 41 attempts for a sterling 92.7 percent conversion rate. Annually one of the first kickers taken in your fantasy draft, the Patriots kicker gets the honors here over Tucker because he plays in a better offense in New England than Tucker in Baltimore.

Bryan Anger, P, Jacksonville Jaguars

Remember when the Jaguars spent their third round pick on Anger in the draft three years ago and were ridiculed for that pick, especially with Russell Wilson still on the board? Well, Anger is a pretty good punter — he’s no Russell Wilson — but he’s got a big leg and he’s been used so often that he led the league in punt yards last year with 4, 338 for a 45.7 yard average and a 40.5 net average. 31 of his 95 punts landed inside the 20-yard line.

Cordarrelle Patterson, Returner, Minnesota Vikings

Patterson was second only to Devin Hester in kick return yards last year, but no one was ahead of him when it came to his 32.4 yard average per return or his two returns for touchdowns. The dynamic playmaker should see a bigger role on offense in his second year but the Vikings will still rely on his return abilities on kicks.
